Riding halters work in a similar way to a rope hackamore, but with a sleeker look.  Great for endurance riders, trail riders, or starting young horses, anyone who wishes to communicate with their horse without putting metal in their mouth.  Horses must be taught to give to pressure on the ground first, then will understand what you are asking under saddle.  Bits are a false sense of control.  Teach your horse the one rein stop, and you will always be in control of your horse without pain.
